Unofficially, I really like to tell stories. Lately, I enjoy collaborating with great directors, actors, and crew members to fiercely create incredible dramatic works for live audiences. My sweet spot is modern dramas, so I usually craft full-length stories about current topics such as banned books, homelessness and relatable emotional journeys.

My wife will tell you I read all of the characters aloud while walking around my kitchen acting out scenes as I write them. She'll also tell you it's a pretty funny thing to observe, but she knows when I'm "in the zone" developing a new work. I'm a nut for intense, rapid dialogue (think Aaron Sorkin), so I'll keep working scenes over and over again until I have the best lines I can provide for actors to inhabit.

My current works in progress include a few intense dramatic plays and my first novel — a murder mystery set against the real history of one of my favorite places to vacation: Kelleys Island, located in Lake Erie just off Cedar Point, Ohio.
